Proposition 429 is a continuation of the local funding that has been in place since 2014. It is used to fund teacher salaries and other critical programs.

Tanque Verde Unified School District has built a reputation as one of the most desirable places in Arizona to work. The district has outstanding retention rates and strong interest whenever a position becomes available. We need to support this budget continuation to make sure it stays that way.

Invest in Building Our Future Workforce and Student Success

Proposition 429 invests in our workforce through its award-winning career and technical education programs that gives students hands-on, real-world college and career preparation.

It also supports student success through honors and accelerated courses and the gifted education program. In addition, it funds the quality programs that give our students a well-rounded education including physical education, music, art, and school librarians.

Invest in Our Community Without Raising Taxes:

Proposition 429 is not a tax increase – it is a continuation of the local funding that has been in place since 2014. It is used to fund teacher salaries and other critical programs. Without renewal, the district would have to phase it out over three years and cut an estimated $2.3 million from its budget.
